resos and menus are below! short turn - found a literal 50 steps around the corner from 416 - opened in early 2022 with the intention of being a sexy little cocktail bar with the drink list we could never properly execute at the original, but with the food our guests already knew and loved.

in october 2025: EVOLUTION! with chef kevin lo at the helm, we decided to make short turn’s culinary offerings a little more unique. it isn’t a diner, where you might expect all of the classics - but it isn’t far off. a restaurant with a 416 background (ie. culinarily diverse), but the comfort and simplicity of an eatery from decades ago. as with 416, the interior was meant to conjure an idealized version of the city - a dusk-lit, romantic version of toronto (in the evening), and newly, an energetic daytime lunch spot that can be utilized for a variety of types of meals: solo and quick, together and long, martinis and french fries or coffee and a pancake. we hope that it serves you like no other place.

our hours of operation are: wednesday to saturday, 1130am-10pm; sunday, 1130am-5pm.
